About the the Creole Cake
Asked on 3 Oct 2020 by Marie Lygonis
I made the Creole Christmas cake last year and it was a great success but when I put the fruit to soak for 7 days there was no way I could pour the fruit into a large jar and stir it because there wasn~t enough liquid to do that.
Is that how it should be
I always make the traditional cake, 3 in fact, and will do so again
this year but iit is fun to have the Creole cake.
regards from Sweden
Hello,
The cooked fruit mixture isn’t very wet but it is very moist.
I’m not sure if you are aware that Delia uses an old-fashioned tablespoon that measure 20mls so for the Creole Cake you need 60mls of each of the spirits and the water.
Best wishes
