Butterscotch Sauce in 'Old School' Tart

Would the butterscotch sauce in the Butterscotch and Banana Sundaes recipe, set to make a butterscotch tart?
I am yet to find a good recipe for an old fashioned Butterscotch tart.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Jackie,
No, this sauce will not set like the filling in an ‘school’ Toffee Cream Tart or Butterscotch or Caramel Tart.
That is made with a thick, buttery white sauce, sweetened with brown sugar and/or syrup.
