Does pear cake need to go in the fridge?

Is it necessary to refrigerate the pear and almond cake with streusel topping if not eating the same day?

Hello Patricia,
As this cake is moist from the pear it is likely to go mouldy in a couple days if stored in a warm / room temperature place.
If you’re making it to serve the following day it will be fine without going in the refrigerator.
To prolong the life of this cake I would freeze or refrigerate and take it out a few hours before serving to allow it to reach room temperature.
