I have made and frozen both the sticky toffee puddings and the sauce ( seperately) . The sauce is not solid in the freezer - is this right? If not where did I go wrong?

I haven’t frozen it myself so I cannot say if the same has happened myself but there is probably some scientific reason behind it. Perhaps the high sugar content!
As you followed the recipe, and presumably your freezer is functioning correctly, I would say that it is nothing to worry about.
