I don't have a hob and wondered if I can cook Delia's Christmas pudding the microwave? If so how should I pack it and for how long?

Hello
Our advice is…
“Steaming is definitely the best. Microwaved puddings are frequently ruined. They tend to overheat and get tough & sticky.
Steaming lightens the pudding and after taking so much care to make your own pudding it’s such a shame to not steam it.
Delia doesn’t even heat her leftover pudding in the microwave. She wraps it in foil and heats it in the Aga or the oven.”
However…
I presume someone has made the pudding for you if you don’t have a hob? So if you have an oven I would cover it as per the recipe with paper and foil and sit it in a pan, half filled with boiling water and heat it at 150C for about an hour.
Or if the only option is the microwave I would cover the pudding, in it’s basin it in microwave film, pierced a few times, and then heat on a medium to low setting in short bursts so you reduce the risk of over heating it.
Best wishes
