Lining the iced Christmas pudding basin with clingfilm

Hi Lindsey, I'm just about to make Delia's Christmas Pudding Ice Cream and I was wondering if I could line the plastic pudding basin with cling film first, with plenty hanging over the side to get a hold off....which would make removing the ice-cream easier and so wouldn't need to dip the whole thing in hot water. Thanks for your thoughts! Merryn

Hello Merryn,

Yes you can do that if you prefer, providing the cling film/wrap is suitable for use in the freezer.

Some types of clingfilm/wrap stick to frozen food and break up when you unwrap it.
