I am making the Christmas pudding this year for the first time. I am catering for 20. I have a 2.5 litre pudding bowl.
Is it possible to double up the traditional Christmas pudding recipe and make one large pud . I would prefer to make one large one than two smaller ones as per the 1.2 litre recipe - how long steaming time would you say it needed?
Much appreciated

Hello,
Yes, you can double it.
I think 8 hours will be probably enough, but you could give it 10 to be sure.
It is important to keep the water simmering and topped up, so it doesn’t boil dry.
Kind regards
