Making Christmas Cake without eggs

Morning, would the traditional Christmas cake recipe work with an egg replacement? Also, how long would it keep if I used orange juice instead of alcohol. Thank you in advance

Hello,
We haven’t tested or tried either so it’s not possible to say how well an egg substitute will work or exactly how long it will keep when made without the alcohol. Delia’s sticky prunes and date cake is egg free and I’m sure it will work with some Christmassy substitutes / additions. This cake keeps for about 3 weeks or freezes really well.
