No cherry brandy! What shall I use?

Hi Lindsay
Hope you are well.
I like the sound of the Creole christmas cake and want to try it. However, I have found it impossible to locate cherry brandy to date, having tried all local off licences and supermarkets. I live in Ireland and it is not commonly used apparently!!
Any thoughts on possible alternatives or a specific brand of cherry brandy as that may help my search.
