Salting aubergines and courgettes

ROASTED MEDITERRANEAN VEGETABLE LASAGNE
Hi Lindsay
Thinking of making this lasagne for the first time - do you think it's still necessary to drain the aubergine and courgettes? Not sure if this is done now?

Hello,
It's not always necessary depending on the aubergines and courgettes. Most varieties available are fine nowadays. I decide when I slice them. If they have an open texture or look seedy I degorge them. If they are very firm and hardly any visible sees I don’t usually bother.
