

I am trying to find an alternative to self raising wheat flour. I find plain Gram flour is very good, but I cannot find any self raising Gram flour. If I add baking powder to it, would it work as the substitute I am looking for? Thank you.

I’m sure there are some recipes that will work but not all.
We tested all of the recipes in the Cakes book with Doves Farm GF flour and 90% of the recipes worked well but gram flour has quite a different texture, which may be suitable if some recipes but not all.
