Dear Madam,
Do I store my Christmas Fruit cake in a Tin? Is this the best method for keeping it but at the same time cutting slices from it to enjoy for a few weeks after Christmas? Just don't like tupperware for my cakes.

Hello Susan,
A tin is perfect.
Keep the cake wrapped in parchment and foil inside the tin until you decorate it (and during ‘feeding’ if you’re doing that).
Then for the few days between decorating and during the festive days it will be fine on its board, in the tin. (If your only decorating the top I wrap some parchment, foil or cling around the outer edge to stop it drying out). Then I’d wrap it in foil and keep it in the tin post-Christmas until it’s finished.
Best wishes
Lindsey
