Wonderful Christmas Cake recipe
Hello Lindsay, I made Delia's Classic Christmas cake yesterday and I want to thank Delia and your team for that wonderful recipe. The aroma of it cooking invoked memories of christmas cakes baking of years gone by. I cannot tell you the comfort and pleasure performing this yearly ritual gave me, I could believe, just for awhile, I was living in ''normal times'', measuring and stirring and faffing and letting my mind wander back to memories of baking these most precious and symbolic of cakes of over the years . Taking the time to prepare the tin as described in the recipe was well worth the effort, the cake came out cleanly and it is a beautiful colour. It took exactly 4 hrs at 120 fan oven temperature. I also want to thank you personally Lindsey for your patience in answering all the questions you get, we learn so much from this service.
